GR:EEN-GEM PhD Workingpapers
Welcome to the Erasmus Mundus GR:EEN- GEM Doctoral Working Papers Series
GR:EEN is an FP7 integrated research project, involiving 16 institutions many of which are also partners within the GEM PhD School. As such, many of the institutions involved in both projects sponsored by the European Commission, recognizes the crucial role of training and interacting with the next generation of social science researchers.
With this in mind, GR:EEN on the one hand and the GEM PhD School on the order, have sought to foster a variety of contacts and platforms. In this regard, building on past experience accumulated within the GARNET Network of Excellence and a burgeoning set of synergies with the Erasmus Mundus GEM PhD School on “Globalisation, the EU and Multilateralism”, two main objectives were set out: an annual “GR:EEN Doctoral Summer School” and the launch of a series of “GR:EEN-GEM Doctoral Working Papers”.
The “GR:EEN-GEM Doctoral Working Papers” will thus provide a privileged platform for on-going doctoral research to be published and discussed, thereby enriching the discussions within both GEM and GR:EEN and strengthening their shared Epistemic Community. Doctoral papers published in this series are done so under the joint auspices of the GR:EEN project and the GEM PhD School.
