The GEM PhD School offers me the opportunity to carry out a doctoral research on Globalization, EU and Multilateralism in a multicultural, cosmopolitan and highly rated academic environment. The experience so far is excellent.

Having studied at three European universities for my Erasmus Mundus Master's, I've been very keen on doing an Erasmus Mundus PhD. The GEM progamme was a great opportunity for me to return to the field of international relations (my Bachelor's is in International Information) after Master's in Media Studies. It's been a very enriching experience so far!

Key reasons for me to choose EMJD GEM were the inter-disciplinary academic approach and an amazing unique opportunity to experience educational systems in different European states.

For me, the most essential reason to study abroad is to work with specific faculty in a specific kind of program. I had been searching for a PhD program involves study on Europe and Asia (especially China), in which my research interest and experience in East Asia and Europe could be coming into play together. Fortunately, I found GEM which offers an perfect opportunity.
